Here’s a two-day lesson plan for Grade 5 that addresses the objectives of showing objectivity by using data to validate observations and explanations about forces, as well as valuing individual effort and teamwork through investigations, in accordance with Jamaica’s National Standard Curriculum:

Topic: Using Data to Validate Observations and Explanations

Specific Objective: Students will learn how to use data to:

  • support and validate their observations and explanations about forces.

Teaching Resources/Materials: Objects for demonstrations (e.g., toys, books), Chart paper or whiteboard, Markers, Pre-collected data related to forces (from teacher or online sources)

Homework:
