๐Ÿพ All About Vertebrates and Invertebrates! ๐ŸŒ

Hey, Grade 4 explorers! Have you ever wondered what makes some animals different from others? Letโ€™s dive into the amazing world of vertebrates and invertebrates to find out! ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿž

๐Ÿ” Whatโ€™s the Difference?

1๏ธโƒฃ Vertebrates:
These animals have a backbone or spinal column. This gives them shape, support, and helps them move! Examples include mammals (like us!), birds, fish, reptiles, and amphibians.

๐Ÿ’ก Fun Fact: Did you know that humans are vertebrates? Your backbone is what keeps you standing tall!

2๏ธโƒฃ Invertebrates:
These animals donโ€™t have a backbone. Instead, they may have soft bodies (like worms) or a hard outer shell for protection (like crabs and snails). Examples include insects, jellyfish, octopuses, and spiders.

๐Ÿ’ก Fun Fact: Over 95% of all animal species are invertebrates! That means there are way more of them than vertebrates.
